Editors' Role
The publishers and Editors’ are more responsible for the integrity and credibility of academic research. COPE guidelines helps both to implement and take the right decision at different points to maintain it. A brief description is available here of the COPE guidelines for editors, Read Here.
These guidelines are downloadable and can be studied thoroughly for the best practices and relationship with reviewers, authors and publisher. These guidelines include various aspects of paper publishing in a journal, such as;
1. Understanding of the journal’s policies, process of article handling, review and communication with concerned team members.
2. Ethical and unethical practices’ awareness, judgement on similarity index report, conflicts of interest or any other misconduct.
3. Complains, delay in publications, ethical language in reviewer’s report and networking with scholarly community.
